Co-founded the IATSE Local 51 Help Committee after Hurricane Harvey to organize and dispatch crews to help clean out and remove flood damaged material from homes. In the current pandemic, with our union’s work closed down, I am collaborating to build a buddy system network for the mutual emotional support of our 250+ workers, as well as connecting them to community resources, and assisting with signing up for unemployment.
